Take a look at a gasoline chart.
 Prices rose to a peak in 2008. Then gas prices plummeted in 2009 before rising in 2010. For some reason my work blocks gas buddy otherwise I would post it. Although gasoline prices ROSE in 2010 (and nobody is saying they haven't even CPI-W numbers show that) they still aren't higher than 2008. SS checks reflect peak pricing as of 2008. When prices are higher than 2008 there will be a COLA increase. |
