U.S. intelligence documents linked between Libya’s Muammar al-Gaddafi and terrorist organizations in various regions around the world. The secret documents revealed that Gaddafi had spent billions of dollars on weapons program only to show off.


Algerian newspaper Al-Nahar quoted a CIA report, made in March 1999, indicating that the Gaddafi regime in Libya sought to develop a military program based on two techniques; the first was the rapid armament and possession of long-range missiles.
