120. I so agree, love your last paragraph, and I add....
I expected him to be honest. I expected him to do his best to fight for the things on which he campaigned. I'm not naive -- I know politicians don't keep all their promises and often have to make nasty compromises. But the decent politicians in my lifetime, and there have been quite a few, have been true to the person they said they were when running for office. To use two familiar examples, Russ Feingold & Bernie Sanders. They bloody well are who they said they were when they ran for office. Barack Obama is not.

In my lifetime, I have never seen a politician be so duplicitous about his beliefs and his goals in office. I've never seen a politician who presented him/herself as progressive and then turn out to be so conservative in incredibly important areas. I've never seen one who was so supported by a wide variety of people who then turned once in office and essentially flipped them the bird while cozying up to the very politicians, titans & corporations he campaigned against, the ones responsible for destroying our economy & our country, making spying on Americans accepted, making fucking torture an American policy...I've never seen one who promised to get lobbyists out of the White House who, instead, hires them and consults with them to the exclusion of anyone who proposes ideas & actions other than what the corporate world wants.

Sorry for those who still believe in him. I feel totally duped and sickened every time I read yet another vile thing that's been done by the man I campaigned for, contributed to, voted for and urged others to vote for. The man I believed in.

:grr: :puke:
