9. Upper echelon politicians' campaign war-chests are FULL of questionable donations
BOTH parties. The few who eschew donations like that are often never elected to much..and if elected, are always vulnerable to ouster..

Our SYSTEM is what stinks..and unfortunately, the ones who manage to get into a position where they could change it....well they got there with the system we have, so they are in no hurry to rock the boat by changing it.. and the ones who lost to the system..well they have no power to do anything much about it. catch-22
