Is the REPORT truthful and is the APPOINTMENT true?

1. did James send a self congratulatory email? From the piece I found, I tend to think so, because what I saw in that piece was a lot of self puffery, and which ties him in with a suspicious sounding group of people, not a group with mainstream credentials like American Psychological Association (APA).
Greenwald was reporting that James sent the email.
( Greenwald's headline that the appointment is a fact may be premature, tho)

2. Did the WH appoint him?
Unknown. As you say, no secondary sources, no affirmation from WH.

So we need to keep digging.

But James sounds like, at best, a dodgy fellow who likes to blow his own horn.
