If you have people who believe they have nothing left to lose, they do not fear being mowed down.

And I have no doubt that our government would suppress the people, if they could. But they will also be worried about appearances, so I am not sure about the mowing them down part. The thing is, the 3% are not the ones with these technologies and weapons in their hands. If they go too far, they will have the military population turning against them too. Although service members are very dedicated, there is a point beyond which they will not go. Attacking millions of citizens of their own country could be that point.

But that doesn't matter, "nothing to lose" is very very dangerous. I fear for a time when too many people are in this position.
