Trading Rouge for Camouflage
November 17, 2004 · School officials in Texas agree to give up the annual cross-dressing day. The school says it was meant to be fun but a conservative group accused the school of promoting a "homosexual agenda." So from now on, cross-dressing day will be "Camo Day," when students dress up like soldiers.

Texas to fags in 2004 = Germany to jews and fags 2004
(I'm allowed to say 'fag' - I AM one. So get over it. Or under it. But leave the laert button alone.)

4. The fundies are dictating the way they want things.
This is really stupid. Everyone dress like soldiers? Get them used to the uniform, huh?

How many years has the Cross Dressing Day been going on?

7. The REMARKABLE power of headlines
I got this thread delected on first post for putting inmy own headline, referencing "fascism"

There were a lot more

and a lot more serious posts

in response....

even the DU board is affected by its rule number 6 for LBN

Dumbed down, spun headline = news that is suddenly much less of a big deal.

Though miffed about my deletion, this has indeed been instructive!
