Iraq policy 'shambolic' say Tories
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/3085766.stm

The government's handling of post-war Iraq is a "shambles" and has left British troops to "pick up the pieces", according to the shadow defence secretary Bernard Jenkin.

He was responding to news that additional British troops will be sent back out to try to shore up a precarious security situation in the country. snip

"This fresh contingent of troops is being cobbled together at the last minute," he said.

"Leave and training will have to be cancelled because the Army is too small to match all of Labour's defence commitments. The over-stretch is now chronic and is damaging the armed forces.

2. I'm soooo confused whenever I watch PM Questions!!
It's so damned odd... watching the Brit "Republicans" attack the Brit "Dems" for going to war.

It's like watching Bizarro World every time the Prime Minister Question Time comes on CSPAN....

3. The are now. But they were all for it before the shit hit the fan. Nice
Tony Blair is such a putz to fall for this crap. Had to be some big money in it for him? Or he was being blackmailed? It was one of the two.

5. Blair strikes me as someone with an odd, insatiable craving to be
scatched behind the ears and patted on the head by who ever happens to be the US president. However, I also think he will receive big money when he leaves office.

4. The Tories voted in favour of invasion
solidly. The votes against were all from within the Labour Party.
However, being the opposition the Tories have to criticize the government one way or another.
This is why I believe Labour needs to replace Bliar before they lose the next election.
I'd favour Robin Cook because he has shown he is a man of integrity and respect for law and the wishes of the populace.
