WARSAW, Poland (AP) Insurgents attacked a police station in the central Iraqi village of al-Mashru, but no injuries and or serious damage was reported, the Polish military said Friday.

The police station, 12 miles northeast of Hillah came under attack Thursday evening by insurgents firing mortars. Three rounds hit close to the station, the Polish-led security force said in a statement.

Poland commands the multinational force responsible for security in the Hillah area.
