1. It is possible he will be selected for a job in the Bush administration |
Bush wanted him in the first administration, but Breaux declined deciding to stay in the senate, now that he is out it will be interesting to see if he is pursued or not, or if Bush did it just to gain an extra seat in senate and now that he is gone and replaced by a republican--forget it.

2. he has said that he's open to that idea |
i hope he doesn't get an offer from them. Or if he does, I hope that he will take it and finally see WHY there is no "bipartisanship" anymore.

The more centrists in the Bush admin, the better.

6. Oh, for the loving bipartisanship of the Clinton era. |
I well remember how the Republicans made every effort to work well together with Bill and to assure a smooth-running govt. I don't recall any 6 year investigations into business ethics that uncovered a blow job, or any times Republicans accused him of wagging the dog for trying to kill Osama, any times that the Federal govt had to be closed down do to the intransigence of Congressional Republicans passing ridiculous budget measures.
All I remember is how wonderful and loving everyone was to each other and how Republicans smiled and shook hands as they approved judge after judge nominated by Clinton.
