Falluja Troops Told to Shoot on Sight
On the eve of the assault on Falluja, the US military ordered troops to shoot any male on the street between the ages of 15 and 50 if they were seen as a security threat, regardless of whether they had a weapon.

"You are killers, not murderers. You are warriors not war criminals. Don't cross that line."

Those were the words of a US officer to his men before they took part in the recent assault on the Iraqi city of Falluja.

Just days later, one US marine was in the spotlight, with questions being asked about whether he was a murderer and a war criminal.

1. Last week on CNN they showed troops doing the humanitarian
effort of rescuing Fallujah refugees.....

I couldn't help but notice they were all women, children, and old men.

3. Earlier reports -- males between 15 - 55 or 65or weren't allowed to leave
Sounds like summary execution -- simply for being a male of "military age".

How fricking biblical -- old Testament -- kill the males, rape the women.

Or early American History -- Indian males were routinely killed. Bounties were put on their heads -- the white folk started the scalping tradition.

Disgusting --

I guess that officer didn't get the memo: when you shoot unarmed people, that indeed makes you a "war criminal.":eyes::grr:

On edit... I guess I meant to say he did get the memo - and it was written by Alberto Gonzales...:grr:

8. Mark calls 'em 'paid assasins'
The money lords (Haliburton & the Carlyle boys) call them a blessing from God in the name of Jays'us

Mark also said, "All war must be just the killing of strangers against whom you feel no personal animosity; strangers whom, in other circumstances, you would help if you found them in trouble, and who would help you if you needed it."

Indescriminately killing Moslem males, destroying cities and infrastructure.

10. Seven killed in bus shooting
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 10:36 AM by cal04
Seven people were killed when the bus they were travelling in through the Iraqi city of Ramadi came under fire, police and witnesses said.
Ramadi police chief Brigadier Jasim al-Dulaimi said US troops opened fire on the bus as it passed the governorate building.

The US military had no immediate comment. Reuters Television footage showed the bus peppered with bullet holes. Some of the windows were shattered and others were spattered with blood.Ramadi, 110 kilometres west of Baghdad, is one of the main strongholds of Sunni Muslim insurgents fighting US-led troops.

12. When was the last time you saw a live feed from Baghdad?
Fierce fighting continued Saturday morning in the southern
half of al-Fallujah according to the Mafkarat al-
Islam correspondent in the city. In a dispatch posted at
9:30am Saturday morning Mecca time, the correspondent
wrote that the fierce fighting was still raging in the ash-
Shuhada’ and al-Jubayl neighborhoods and in the
industrial zone - all in the southern part of the
city.

Seven unprecedented explosions rocked the area on Friday
and at dawn Saturday, he reported. Four of the blasts shook
the city Friday night. Three more explosions resounded
Saturday at dawn. The correspondent wrote that he was
unable to ascertain the cause of the blasts.

(unprecedented?-The only thing unprecedented
in Fallujah right now would be nukes.)

Informed sources thought it likely that the US occupation
troops would use chemical weapons in the southern half of
the city, after their failure to break through Resistance
defenses using more conventional weaponry. The
American invaders resorted to the use of chemical weapons
in their attacks on the northern half of the city in recent
days.

"informed sources" my ass. Let's get some perspective on the news here...we're doing just fine with committing war crimes with conventional weapons.

16. we're doin' just fine
I got perspective.

When was the last time Uscitizens got
any kind of info from USmilitary.

Do you actually think Fallujah is under control?

Have you seen anywhere that anyone in the USmilitary
has been capable of restraint? Who.
Name names.

Look, I'll tell you what. Making predictions makes
fools,

The American Washington Post newspaper in its
Wednesday, November 17th 2004 issue carried remarks
of Shaykh ‘Abdallah al-Janabi, the Chairman of the
Consultative Council of the Mujahideen of Fallujah,
an 18-member council of religious leaders, tribal chiefs
and Baath Party members .

Speaking in an undamaged house in the an-
Nazal neighborhood of Fallujah on Monday, al-Janabi
was flanked by several bodyguards and wore an explosive
vest, with wires that would detonate it dangling a few
inches apart. A bodyguard said the religious leader
preferred martyrdom to “dying on his bed like a
camel,” according to the American newspaper’s
report.

The Washington Post quoted al-Janabi as saying:
“The Americans have opened the gates of hell, the Battle
of Fallujah is the beginning of other battles.” He noted that,
“We still have our strength, our force and ammunition, and
the battle is long, very long. And we will turn Iraq into one
big Fallujah.”

But by Inauguration Day Iraq will be one big Fallujah.

And you realize that by definition Special Forces carry
every weapon in the US arsenal up to and including
nukes.

Do you think the US will surrender w/o using them?

17. Troops - Stop Obeying Criminal Orders!
Perhaps as members of the reality-based community, we need to start publicly asking the troops to start refusing orders that are illegal and result in the killing of innocent people.

If individual members of the military in Iraq started saying "No! I won't kill anymore" this immoral war would come to a screeching stop.

Of course, it will take moral and ethical courage and bravery ... something most members of the military cannot do because it doesn't require using a gun. But it wouldn't take many troops to stop the slaughter and going to the brig before this whole phony, Bush-ordered, massacre of innocents would end.
