NEW ORLEANS (AP) — For those who lie awake worrying about chickens' rights, Louisiana's U.S. Senate race was the most important election of the year.

We had U.S. Rep. David Vitter, a Republican who has supported legislation clamping down on cockfighting. We had U.S. Rep. Chris John, a Democrat who has the distinction of being the only known member of the U.S. House of Representatives to have spoken out in favor of cockfighting.

2. is this one of the states it's legal in?
I think there are a few states left where it's legal. Maybe they'll just start killing each other like the deer hunters are.
