McDonald's CEO Resigns for Health Reasons
CHICAGO - McDonald's Corp. is welcoming its second new CEO in seven months, as Charlie Bell abruptly resigned to focus on battling the colon cancer doctors detected two weeks after he became the fast food giant's chief.

He was replaced Monday by vice chairman Jim Skinner, who since July has overseen McDonald's operations in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Skinner, 60, began his McDonald's career in 1971 as a restaurant manager trainee — with the company quick to note his long tenure and experience throughout the company's operations.

4. Oh, that fine Scottish cuisine.
Seems a good time to relate a Neil Hamburger joke:

Why did Ronald McDonald sleep with his sister?

Because his judgement was impaired from so many years of eating junk food.

6. No wonder McDonald's has been doing so well. They bring up their execs
from the very bottom rather than getting some nitwit who has never actually done any work other than executive work.

8. Ironic? Yes! However, McDonald's executives don't eat at McD's...
...if you believe former McD's employee Geoffrey Giuliano, author of Confessions of a Corporate Clown...

"The people who run McDonald's don't actually eat
at the place, they leave that to the kids"

10. Is Jim Skinner any relation to our skinner?
Lately, I've had to get to the place where I work a hour early. I've began eatting at these 'fine' establishments. After a short while I notice little things, like my heart thumping faster and harder than normal. Wondering what could be wrong, I went to my general practioner who told me that nothing was wrong. What do you think?

11. Have you seen the movie
Supersize Me? It's a documentary about a guy who eats nothing but McDonald's for a month. After the month of eating this way, he was near liver failure. In the middle of the movie there is a scene where he is in his living room in the middle of the night because his heart is racing. My advice would be to stop eating there. You will after you see the movie. I would rather starve to death.

13. Sorry if I'm a little sympathy impaired of late
but I really don't give a damn for either he or his family- in fact, I wish him all the suffering that he's helped to hoist on others through McDonald's insidous marketing practices aimed at childrem.

Good riddance.

At least you have good insurance to pay for your resection and can afford a home healthcare nurse to administer your morphine and change your coloscopy bag.
