CIA Says Iran, Qaeda Pursued Nuclear Weapons
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=6&u=/nm/20041123/ts_nm/security_wmd_dc

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iran "vigorously" pursued programs to produce nuclear, chemical and biological weapons during the latter part of 2003 and was working to improve delivery systems, a CIA (news - web sites) report said on Tuesday.

Al Qaeda was also engaged in rudimentary nuclear research, the CIA said, and the network's stated willingness to launch an unconventional attack was a major concern.

The unclassified semi-annual report to Congress on the acquisition of technology relating to weapons of mass destruction from July 1 through Dec. 31, 2003, was posted on the intelligence agency's Web site www.cia.gov.

<snip>
Well, THAT didn't take long. I guess the CIA read Goss' memo.

17. Precisely my 1st reaction: step up the war propaganda.
Second PNAC verse,...same as the first: WMDs and Al Qaeda in the same sentence with the "target".

3. I believe everything our from the CIA
They also told me that Sweden was working on an explosive wheel of cheese, Australia had a kuala bear that can eat through airplane metal, India's cricket players were only 9 years old and would run away as soon as they got the chance, Bush is actually highly intelligent and the entire election was on the up and up.

13. the most dangerous country on the planet.
tonnes of ordinance we have blessed mother earth with in the last 60 years or so? I am sure it must be in the billions of tonnes especially if you count the "legal" wars we have waged... some people just don't get how the machine works.... much to their lack of interest or simply to the abundance of propaganda.

11. This will lay the groundwork for Fox viewers
to acclimate themselves to the notion that we must now invade Iran, et al, then the draft, and there might even be a terra attack in the mix, which will incite the same patriotism to go fight the world we saw after 911.

14. let's go down that road with Hitler and Hirohito
Edited on Tue Nov-23-04 07:58 PM by teryang
it will get rid of these motherf..kers permanently. Attacking Iran will not be tolerated by the international community. Everyone knows the real goal is to take back the energy resources nationalized during the Iranian revolution.

Good luck to the war mongers. It will be an act of international agression that the major Asian nations won't tolerate.
