Celebrities join bid to impeach Blair
Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 04:07 AM by damkira
Celebrity anti-war campaigners will join MPs in Westminster to call for Tony Blair's impeachment.

Some 23 MPs have signed a Commons motion calling for the Prime Minister to be thrown out of office for "gross misconduct".

Author Iain Banks, playwright Harold Pinter and musician Brian Eno are due to join them for a photocall in Parliament. It is the first attempt to impeach a British Prime Minister for 198 years.

5. How about Glenda Jackson? Isn't she still a member of the House of
Commons? Is she doing something about the proposed impeachment?

6. She is; no Labour MP is backing the impeachment
because it seems pretty clear that if they do, they'll be chucked out of the party. There aren't any willing to go that far yet.

Here's hoping you go down, Tony Blair. Down, down, down, down.
