SNOHOMISH COUNTY - Thanksgiving is behind us but for an Everett mother, the time to give thanks is just arriving.

Eric Rexilius has been gone five years, serving in the Army in Poland, Korea, Kuwait and most recently Iraq, where he's been an Apache helicopter mechanic for the last 16 months.

Shame on gwb. Many happy years together for the family. They deserve it. How on earth do you make up for 5 years of lost childhood, kids growing up ... family.
