Ottawa prepares for anti-Bush protests...

OTTAWA (CP) - They're protesting everything from capitalism and corruption to criminality, and they're blaming it all on U.S. President George W. Bush.

Thousands of activists are expected to march on the capital Tuesday, clogging streets and shouting complaints over all manner of perceived wrongs - imperialism, racism, elitism, torture, treaties and terrorism.

One group, Lawyers Against the War (LAW), wants Bush arrested and charged with war crimes.

"LAW believes that George Bush must be brought to justice rather than be treated as a guest in Canada," said Amy Bartholomew, whose Canadian-based group claims about 150 members in 14 countries.

I'll be glad to. I intend to tape Tuesday's show so I can show it to friends who don't get the broadcast. Tonite on The Sunday CBC news, they were all over him- saying they would try to be polite, because, they are after all, Canadian, but one reporter actually called him an asshole! My husband and I said "did he just say that?" It was great!

and there were over 500,000! Not that there would be that many in Ottawa, but I would never trust anything the MSN says. I'll expect Canadians to give us the real scoop.

13. The US medias won't cover

that much about the protests. An american journalist (sorry don't recall the name) said on CBC this morning, that even thou the US media will be here, they won't talk much about it. On the other hand, the canadian medias won't be shying away from it. They already started to cover the pre-visit protests.
