Canada to give Bush some military commitments
OTTAWA — Canada will agree to send soldiers to train Iraqi officers in Jordan but it won't make the same formal commitment to train Afghan troops when U.S. President George W. Bush visits the capital on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Paul Martin will also reaffirm Canada's commitment to establishing at least one provincial reconstruction team in Afghanistan.

Officials in Defence Minister Bill Graham's office said Canada will send military trainers to Jordan, not to Iraq itself.

But Graham said Canada will not sign a deal committing it to a U.S.-sponsored training program for the Afghan National Army, in spite of American dissatisfaction over the Canadian army's sporadic participation in the program.

1. I heard that Bush can only go to Canada as a head of state
but if he was a citizen he would be under charges as a War Criminal!!!

2. Sigh.
The UN has given Bush immunity for war crimes re: Iraq.

Retain it.

3. No, the UN did NOT give the US immunity...
the resolution did NOT pass so the US unilaterally, through their puppets, declared themselves immune which means squat except in Iraq and only as long as the puppet govt can stay in power.
