Updated: 12:03 a.m. ET Nov. 30, 2004KABUL, Afghanistan - The U.S. military said Tuesday that it was searching for three civilian crew members and three military passengers who were aboard an aircraft that went missing over Afghanistan.

It said search-and-rescue efforts were focusing on the Hindu Kush mountains in the center of the country, from where it was receiving a signal from an emergency locator transmitter. It was unclear if the plane crashed.

WHat kind of flight is that? It sounds like a corporate contractor's plane with military brass on board ... or CIA. :shrug:

3. I was thinking the same thing
I would have expected it to be the other way around, with military crew members and civilian passengers.
