Associated Press Writer

RENO, Nev. (AP) -- A judge threw out a legal challenge Tuesday aimed at blocking Nevada's five electoral votes from being cast next month for President Bush.

Washoe County District Judge Peter Breen granted a motion to dismiss the case brought against Nevada's five Republican electors.

The plaintiffs had asked the judge to schedule an evidentiary hearing so they could prove their claims of voter registration fraud and malfunctioning voting machines.

But Breen said they have been unable to show that the outcome of the presidential election would be changed if the case went forward.

1. Want me to fill in the blanks?
Judge Arnold Knuckledragger threw out the Dem appeal to the Bush victory, saying, "There is not a shred of evidence the election was rigged."

Democratic attorneys failed to convince the judge that machine irregularities swayed the election.

An AP reporter asked Bush if we need a paper trial in the future.

"There is no basis for the rumor that Judge Knuckledragger is is going to be promoted to a federal bench," Bush answered.

6. unable to show the outcome would be changed??
Does anybody care about the truth? That's like refusing to try a murderer, because it won't bring the victim back to life.

7. Agreed! And I have a similar sentiment:
That's like not prosecuting my attacker because he only stabbed me several times but didn't kill me.
