1. Just curious
Why are they calling them "anti-Iraqi" forces? Aren't though pro-Iraqi and anti-occupation forces?

2. Pure propaganda
Using current terminology, George Washington's forces would have been called the "anti-American forces" during the war of independence. Most of the world would have gotten their news from BNN (British Network News), so lots of people would have not thought twice about the incongruity.

3. Yes, and that really is disturbing. Except for any "Al Queda" forces
that have infiltrated, they are Iraqis killing Iraqis, and I wonder just how much longer that will last. No wonder the police and Iraqi forces are deserting. The "anti-Iraqi forces" nomenclature is simply hogwash and propaganda to make us think this is a real war and not an invasion of another country which had no immediate plans to attack us.

6. What gets me is that the military admitted that they found
less than 5% foreign fighters in Fallujah.

11. Fox News has adopted this absurd terminology
(along with "homicide bombers")

More accurate would be "anti-hillbilly forces", "anti-Native American forces" or "anti-Latino" forces, considering who the insurgents are really fighting against.

4. I missed 1250-1262. Do these deaths still phase you?
Not me. They used to horrify me.
To be honest about it, they don't even phase me anymore.
There will be many many more, you can't be sad everyday.
Eventually, the survival instinct will kick in and
these numbrers will be nothing more than numbers, even
to those who still care.

7. One death is a tragedy. One million deaths are a statistic.
Stalin said something like that.

So far, I haven't succumbed to that kind of thinking.

8. They trouble me a lot
There have been 6 in the last 3 days. They are released at odd hours by the DOD and Centcom mostly at night. I use official sources when posting them, for accuracy.

There will be thousands more on both sides

What pisses me off is ------more people are

WORRIED ABOUT THE MILLIONAIRE STEROID SLUGGERS TODAY !!!

THAN ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE THOUSANDS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN BEING KILLED FOR THE OILY NEOCON CORPORATIONS. </RANT>

10. they worry me alot
I have friends and loved ones over there I get sick whenever a new name comes out.
On a more selfish note I don't want to be recalled to active duty. With the more injured and killed it is scary.

15. Dear God, I hope I never get to that point.
EVERY death breaks my heart. I think of the families getting the news that their loved one finally gets to come home -- in a box.

I think of the life of that person. Who were they? What did they want to do with their lives? What would they have achieved in the future? What did we all lose when this person was killed?

I'm thankful that these posts are put up every time we lose a soldier. It gives me a chance to say a prayer for him or her and their families. I also pray for all the innocent people in Iraq, just in case anyone wonders if I value their lives too. I do.

5. HOW MANY MORE GEORGIE, HOW MANY MORE?

Masters Of War

Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks.

You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly.

Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain.

You fasten all the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you set back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion'
As young people's blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud.

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins.

How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I'm young
You might say I'm unlearned
But there's one thing I know
Though I'm younger than you
That even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul.

And I hope that you die
And your death'll come soon
I will follow your casket
In the pale afternoon
And I'll watch while you're lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I'll stand over your grave
'Til I'm sure that you're dead.

9. seemslikeadream,.....
did you read about the caskets at Dover being stacked on pallets for hours at a time? It was posted here a few days ago and I have not seen it verified yet.

12. I am too scared to close my eyes.
Yes I did see that leftchick but have not seen any other news. I'm sure you seen this video before but I watch it a couple times a week, it makes me cry and then it makes me very angry. I couldn't continue unless I was very angry.

Enveloped in a sentiment,
a sound that rushes over me.
Engage an impulse to pretend
I have a faith as pure.
Not forgetting what it means to dream.
Indulging everything.
Entertaining thoughts that I've the strength
of those I yearn to be.
Cheers and tribute greet the saviours.
Reckless thoughts survive.
Anachronistic and impulsive.

And what will happen?
Will I dream?
I am too scared to close my eyes.
For a second please hold me.
None can change in me these things that I believe.
But I don't know what happens now.
I am too scared to close my eyes.
