A major tobacco lobbyist has recused herself from lobbying the House leadership because of her romantic ties to House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.).

Abigail Perlman, head of government affairs for Altria Corp., the parent company of Philip Morris, will no longer lobby House leaders, according to Altria spokesman David Tovar. 1. I think this "in bed"
is much more literal than figurative. Blunt is another hypocritical "family values" type rethug who divorced his wife to chase more powerful skirts.

2. You can't POSSIBLY be referring to Faith-Based Roy Blunt!

(snip) “I think one of the things that would surprise people is how much support there is for faith-based lifestyles and faith-based decision-making,” says Republican Party Chief Deputy Whip Roy Blunt, who is also a former Southern Baptist college president from Missouri. “There are a number of activities during the course of the week that are available to members of Congress in both parties.”

These opportunities include early morning prayer breakfasts, afternoon Bible studies, and a number of small-group fellowships organized by individual congressmen. (snip/...)
