Blix: Saddam Hussein told the truth
http://english.aljazeera.net/Articles/News/GlobalNews/Saddam+Hussein+told+the+truth.htm

Iraq may have been candid with the international community when it told the UN Security Council that it did not have chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, former chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix said.

More than four months after US President George Bush declared victory in Iraq, Blix said facts presented by Iraq in a 12,000-page document in December 2002 may have been accurate.

"With this long period, I'm inclined to think that the Iraqi statement that they destroyed all the biological and chemical weapons, which they had in the summer of 1991 may well be the truth," Blix told CNN television.

1. which would mean that Bush lied
and thousands of innocent civilians died in the name of US hegmony.

And yet there is no outrage? This was done in our name. And yet no one seems to care. Kill tens of thousands, that's fine. Question the administrations motives? That's treason. I tell ya... sometimes this world makes me very, very sad. :-(

12. It is sad, ixion.
I'm afraid it's only going to get worse, I keep getting a sense the Middle East region is about to explode and our soldiers will pay the price.

that Saddam is equally trustworthy to the Busheviks.

Neither set of Totalitarian Monsters deserves one iota of credibility over the other.

8. Blix was on last night with Paula Zahn and made these remarks
I saw a clip of bits of the interview a couple of times today on CNN.
He's supposed to be on with her again tonight for part 2 of the interview.

7. it was no mistake
every single puke who has half a brain knows the WMD justifications were conveinient, "noble" lies. they don't care.

they even know the real reason is to maintain our access to the preciousssss. they don't care.

but president sock puppet? i think he believes it all, from WMD to "democracy" & "freedom". no ironic appreciation. he's quite the useful fool.

10. don't forget the "revenge" factor
a coldblooded excuse to kill a lot of Muslims to teach "them" a lesson.

I think that's the main reason your basic man in the street supports the "war"

They don't even care that Iraq didn't cause 9/11, they just know that Iraq were bad muslim guys and they deserves to experience a good ass-kicking by US.

11. Wasn't that one of Dennis Miller's punch lines?
In the interminable lead-up to this little exercise in imperialism, I recall some comedian making a lot of hay with the line, "In the judging between who's telling the truth about weapons of mass destruction, real Americans believe the President." That's probably not be a verbatim quote, but carries the gist of the "joke" as I remember it. And if memory serves, the alleged comedian in question was Dennis Miller.
