Saddam's lawyer meeting cancelled (they've never met)
http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,11636537%255E1702,00.html

"SADDAM Hussein's first meeting with a defence lawyer was abruptly cancelled today, apparently because of pressure exerted by US authorities..

US authorities have refused to let the legal team or other lawyers see the Iraqi dictator, who was arrested in December 2003 and is being held in a US-controlled jail."

I'm not convinced he'll even face the kangaroo court they've arranged, surely they'll pull a Jack Ruby.

1. they will never let him speak
he will die before his trial. if he does all bets are off on how long the rest of the world rejects the united states on all trade agreements and crashes the dollar , the eu starts selling arms to china, and russia announces a full scale military rebuilding. saudis and the other gulf states will reject the united states and move towards china and europe for trade and protection. we will become argentina

2. A fair trial is the last thing Bushco wants
Saddam's got way too much embarrassing info on St. Ronnie on the BFEE to ever be allowed to talk.

3. He's probably advising US operations as we speak.
I wonder what connections he has with Allawi.
