U.S. accuses Israel of espionage

Washington accused Israeli defense officials of trying to access U.S. technological and intelligence data classified by the U.S. as top secret information, Israel’s army radio reported.

The report comes just days after the FBI raided the pro-Israel lobbying group, AIPAC, in the U.S. and interrogated AIPAC officials.

The U.S. had recently accused one of the Pentagon officials of passing classified U.S. information on Iran to Israel.

The radio also said that FBI officials had confirmed that Israeli officials who visited U.S. military sites were trying to gather confidential information on the U.S. technology.

U.S. officials pass secrets on Iran's nuclear development to Israel. The idea is that Israel will bomb Iran's burgeoning Nuclear Weapons program like they did Iraq's.

The U.S. strongly condemns Israel's action when it happens and makes some laregely symbolic punitive moves. Meanwhile, a problem is taken care of for us without having to get our troops involved.

7. Nothing new here

Israel has spied on us constantly since that country was created.

There was a small stink about Israeli spies at the time of the WTC atrocities. I don't hold with 'all the jewish workers at the WTC were told to stay home' but I do know that the Israeli spies KNEW something was about to happen, and they had pretty good evidence, too.
Whether they told our government about it or not is still unclear. Even if they did tell the White House, doesn't mean that lazy-azz Bush, Rice & all would do a thing about it; so question most probably is moot.
