FCC Says Shock-Jock Stern Qualifies as Newsman (Ahnuld gets airtime)
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Even though shock jock Howard Stern's radio and television show features scantily clad women and raunchy chatter, regulators on Tuesday ruled it a news program, exempting it from equal time rules on political coverage.

The staff decision by the Federal Communications Commission (news - web sites) opens the way for the show to book two of the sexier candidates for California governor: Hollywood he-man Arnold Schwarzenegger (news) and porn-star Mary Carey

1. I guess the Bushistas didn't like the thought of him slipping in the polls
I bet you wouldn't have seen this ruling if Stern was looking to bring only Davis and Bustamante on the show.

That was something that might have occurred during the Last Days of the Old Republic (to someone wanting to have Democratic candidates on without Repugs).

But in Imperial Amerika, which is all about aristocracy and privilege and unfairness...

(thinking about the "Stern endorses Dean" thread I saw on GD today)

This is ridiculous. As if Arnold & Carey don't already have the "Stern Vote"
