Saddam relative captured in Fallujah
Saddam relative captured in Fallujah
By Simon Freeman, Times Online

A cousin of the deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein has been captured in the rebel stronghold of Fallujah.

Ezzeddine al-Majid was arrested in the city last week, interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi told the national assembly in Baghdad today.

Mr al-Majid, 44, who served as an officer in Saddam's Republican Guard, is accused of helping to organise and arm the insurgents as they carry out their campaign of violent disruption.

Mr Allawi announced that the uprising had been dealt a further blow with the killing of an aide to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian terror leader whose group has been blamed for many bombings and the murder of hostages.

2. Don't they require evidence?
Oh wait, Iraq is not a democracy yet. That comes on Jan 30.

I doubt they have any evidence that he was even involved in anything, other than his relation to Saddam

4. It is illegal to be related to a head of state
whom we overthrew illegally.

That should be obvious.
