25. When do the Judith Miller articles begin hitting the pages? |
|
Just checking...
Prior to any preemptive strike on a country that poses no threat to the United States--don't we usually see a buffet of terror-invoking articles, by NYTimes reporter Judith Miller?
I don't think the Iran tangent of Chimpy's Armageddon plan has been firmed up, just yet.
We'll know they're serious when Judith's article, "Iranians Plot to Poison America's Girl Scout Cookie Supply With Small Pox Virus!" hits the stands.
Oh, the humanity.

WASHINGTON - A senior Republican congressman has been warning America's intelligence community for more than a year of an alleged Iranian plot to crash commercial airliners into a New Hampshire nuclear reactor.
Since February 2003, Rep. Curt Weldon of Pennsylvania has held a series of secret meetings in Paris with a former high-ranking official in the Shah's government who has correctly predicted, according to Mr. Weldon, a number of internal developments in Iran ranging from the regime's atomic weapons programs to its support for international terrorism, including Al Qaeda.
Based on two informants inside the mullahs' inner circle, Mr. Weldon's source, whom he code-named "Ali," relayed allegations to the Pennsylvania lawmaker that an Iranian-backed terrorist cell is seeking to hijack Canadian airliners and crash them into an American reactor. The target of the operation was only identified by Ali as SEA, leading Mr. Weldon to predict it was the Seabrook reactor in New Hampshire, about 40 miles north of Boston. Ali told the congressman that the attack was first planned for between November 23 and December 3, 2003, but was postponed to take place after this year's presidential election.
<snip>
In Washington, the new book from Mr. Weldon, based in part on his meetings with Ali, will provide fresh ammunition for the Republicans against an intelligence community perceived by the White House as hostile to the president's policies
...more...
Wonder if it was ghost written by Laurie Mylorie?

9. Well, if the Congressman knows all about it ... |
|
then we should have no trouble stopping it. Therefore, it's not a problem, is it? Oh wait ... they also knew that Bin Laden was planning on attacking inside the US, didn't they? :eyes:

Cool, he gets to demonize one of the gay marriage countries at the same time, so loathed by the right-wing echo chamber. I am surprised he didn't say they were planning to crash a French Canadian airliner full of gay couples (optional: abortion doctors) into a U.S. reactor.

Could this be any more of a farce? IRAN attacking the US? What about the 2-0 attacks by OBL against the World Trade Center? And airplanes? COULD THEY HAVE BEEN ANY LESS CREATIVE? Why does this sound like another Swiftboad Vets Against Kerry ploy? Does anybody in Congress even know about this guy, or is this total bullshit?

23. How stupid are they supposed to be? |

Like Saddam (formerly), most of their military is defensive and based upon regional contingency planning.
The idea that a relatively small country on the other side of the planet, responsible for some 60 million souls, would launch a small scale antagonistic strike...it takes a small mind to imagine Iran so lacking in sanity or strategy.
You might say "WTC", but the strategy of a furtive fringe group is quite different from a country. Again, responsible for the lives of some sixty million.

Then I remembered that if one ever had the least doubt about the official 9/11 version one cannot believe anything anymore and at the same time has to think that all is possible...
They have the laws they wanted now. On the other hand "dissent" is beginning to stir. On two fronts - Dems because of the election, military because of Iraq. A dangerous time for the Republicans.
I very much hope that no plane will crash. Any military exercises planned for that region?
But I'm beginning to be hysterical.
