Repeat DUI offender fails to show up for his sentencing
John "Digger" Dolan, the self-styled antiterrorism warrior and serial drunken driver, has flown the coop.

Delaware County Court Judge Charles C. Keeler issued a warrant yesterday for the arrest of Dolan, a purveyor of telecommunications software who has had friends in high places.

<snip>
Mattera said that in the letter, Dolan also claimed he was being pursued by "an Arab-American Philadelphia Inquirer reporter," whom Dolan said had "links to al- Qaeda." He did not identify the reporter.

Dolan's accusation came after an article in yesterday's Inquirer. The story reported that U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon (R., Pa.) had twice asked House members to allocate $5 million to Dolan's company for antiterror software that flags suspicious telephone calls.

Just another example of the fine upstanding people the rethugs like to call a friend and patriot.

This guy has beaten the DUI rap countless times by dropping names of politican friends, or by simply lying.

Curt Weldon tried to get him a big software contract for homeland security.

Oh, and he used to be the president of a Young Republicans chapter near/in Radnor, PA. Previous articles (in the paper, but not online) tied him to various gov't officials.

3. No, Dolan made up a pack of lies...
Apparently he made a lot of rethug friends and made it to a resepctable station in life, as well as the president of the Young Republicans on the Main Line (a well to do Philly suburb) - he no longer holds the position.

Over the years, he has been picked up for DUI, and sometimes he gets sentenced. On the times he did not, he used a former classmates name (he says by permission). His ex friend hints it was identity theft.

Another time he said he worked for Tom Ridge, another time, the Dept of Defense. He has some ties to gov't & gov't contracts, all related to Homeland security - but he's a con man and a cretin. He even conned a county prosecutor into letting him go, and the newspapers basically re-opened the story.

His software product, one which Rep Curt Weldon sought a $5M grant(?) for from the gov't, supposedly would have gone through phone information and was supposed to aid in the prevention of another 9/11.

4. He was drunk AGAIN and he chose not to drive
so in actual fact
he was upholding the law
by not showing up in court.
