Miami commissioners tentatively adopt protest limits
Associated Press

MIAMI - Over the objections of civil liberties advocates, city commissioners tentatively adopted restrictions Thursday for protests expected during a hemispheric trade summit this fall.

Trade ministers are due to spend two days in Miami in November to negotiate the Free Trade Area of the Americas, which would expand the North American Free Trade Agreement across the Western Hemisphere, excluding Cuba.

Civilian gas masks, picket sign poles more than 2 inches wide and one-quarter inch thick, glass containers, water guns, water balloons, golf balls, marbles, slingshots and other objects would be banned. (snip)

(snip) Rameau, a founder of the Coalition Against Police Brutality and Harassment and frequent police critic, said officers could use the restrictions to selectively enforce the law. (snip/)

4. Unless you're a member of CANF
I'm sure none of these rules apply to them.
