Foreign Views of U.S. Darken Since Sept. 11
Foreign Views of U.S. Darken Since Sept. 11
By RICHARD BERNSTEIN The New York Times

BERLIN, Sept. 10 In the two years since Sept. 11, 2001, the view of the United States as a victim of terrorism that deserved the world's sympathy and support has given way to a widespread vision of America as an imperial power that has defied world opinion through unjustified and unilateral use of military force.

1. Great Piece

All that sympathy and empathy wasted by ShrubCo. Way to squander international goodwill, assholes.

2. I think the story is wrong on the Japanese.
The last paragraph says the Japanese strongly support America but see it more as a bully now.

Out of all the Japanese I've run into I could say less than 1% favor what Bush has done in Iraq. I stand by this. Maybe the Japanese Government Crime Family says they support Bush but in no way do The People.

In my opinion, the Japanese Government is just a shadow U.S. Government anyway.
