Bush sending brother Jeb to Asia seen as savvy
TALLAHASSEE — Political experts say President Bush's decision to send his brother to grief-stricken Asia is a savvy move to stem criticism of the United States' initial response to one of the world's worst natural disasters.

It also may set the stage for Gov. Jeb Bush's own run at the White House in 2008, despite his insistence he is headed back to the business world in Miami. The governor's staff says he is perfectly suited for the mission after overseeing disaster relief in Florida following four hurricanes.

"It's not that he brings a special expertise about emergency management," Larry Sabato, a political scientist at the University of Virginia, said Friday. "It's that he's the president's brother, and symbols are important. This is partly a public-relations operation. The president got off on the wrong foot here and got a lot of criticism."

(snip)

Lance deHaven-Smith, a Florida State University political scientist, went further.

"I take it to be a clear indication that he's interested in higher office," he said. "When you watch his denials about not running for president, he says, 'I like the job I'm doing.' You never him say, 'I'll never run for president.' It's a masterful appointment to send him overseas."

And I know the articles about his "victory" are already written (just like the 2004 election article that was posted here and discounted as SOP), and I know many of even you will believe in it and you'll urge submission, assimilation, butt kissing in the name of strategery - and you'll have fights over our candidate for 2012.....Welcome to the 1000 years of darkness (unless the Earth blows up sooner)

I live in Florida, fortunately, not in a hurricane path, this year anyway. People are still living with tarps on their rooves and there is much clean up needed, still.

I don't know if we can survive another 4 years of *, but if Jeb runs in '08, I'm definitely outta here!

34. Yeah, as much as it chokes me to say this...
If I had to choose between Bill Frist and Jeb Bush, it would be Jeb in a heartbeat.

It doesn't get worse than Bill "Cat Killer" Frist, unless you start dredging the bottom of the "Zell Miller Swamp."

http://www.workingforchange.com/article.cfm?ItemID=14308

Dr. Bill Frist: moral monster
U.S. senate is going to be led by the cat world's answer to Dr. Mengele

As for Bill Frist, the millionaire Tennessee sawbones, everything you need to know about this unpleasant man was contained in one short paragraph of a profile of Frist by Michael Kranish in the Boston Globe Sunday magazine for Oct. 27, 2002, when Frist was in Boston, first at Harvard Medical School and then at Massachusetts General Hospital.

"Frist is an animal lover who said his decision to become a doctor was clinched when he helped heal a friend's dog. But Frist now found himself forced to kill animals during medical research. And his new dilemma was finding enough animals to kill. Soon, he began lying to obtain more animals. He went to the animal shelters around Boston and promised he would care for the cats as pets. Then he killed them during experiments. 'It was a heinous and dishonest thing to do,' Frist wrote. 'I was going a little crazy.'"

So now the U.S. senate is going to be led by the cat world's answer to Dr. Mengele! A man who can do that is capable of any infamy. Can't you just picture this oily Tennessean cooing and clucking over the tabbies and tortoiseshells at the shelter, solemnly wagging his head as the shelter staff counseled him on proper cat procedures, then dragging the poor creatures into his lab and torturing them to death? I call on the Humane Society to demand that Frist publicly apologize for this appalling, indeed ineradicable stain on his character, and pay substantial reparations out of the vast fortune that has accrued from the Hospital Corporation of America, founded by his father and brother.

While serving as an ardent toady of business, especially the health care and pharmaceutical cartels, Frist projected a "caring" image, accepted without demur by all except his former interns at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Tennessee, where he amassed big bucks as a heart/lung transplant surgeon. "He was a complete asshole," recalled one intern to my brother Andrew recently, "Arrogant and unhelpful."

49. Well, he IS a monster, and more people need to know about it
A person doesn't have to be an animal lover to see the deep psychosis at the core of this "man"...

1). He LIED to obtain these animals, and while that makes him perfect GOP material, lies are like M&Ms. Those who favor them generally don't limit themselves to just one.

2). Anyone who has a pet can appreciate the trust that an animal gives its human owner. It's not the idea that Frist KILLED these animals...it's the sense that he GAINED their trust, TREATED them as pets for several days, and then EVISCERATED them with a scalpel.

THIS MOTHERF**KER needs to be exposed to the light of day. Before Karl Rove is able to prop him up into any kind of serious candidacy, the American public-at-large needs to know WHY this evil little prick is called Bill "Cat Killer" Frist.

As politically aware and well-informed as the average DU poster may be, every once in a while someone will reply to a Bill "Cat Killer" Frist reference with "What's that all about?"

SO...it makes you wonder how "unknown" the facts are OUTSIDE of DU. We need to keep this one kicked for the next four years...spread it around...and if God forbid, this sick bastard GETS a shot at running, we need to iron it onto T-Shirts and wear it everywhere.

THIS guy should not have his finger on the button.

50. His family owns the largest group of hospitals in the country. They were
under inditement for defrauding Medicare and several other organizations. I don't know the details but they were pardoned or allowed to pay off officials to shut down the investigation, something like a 6 million dollar fine which was not publicized of course. Randi Rhodes had a whole hour devoted to information about Bill Frist and his family. I also wrote extensively in the Pfizer thread in latest breaking news (part 1) about Bill Frist's addendum to the Homeland Security Bill that indemnified Eli Lilly from paying any damages to families whose children were injured from vaccines. He is a crook of the highest order, his conflicts of interest are glaring.

Cat killing aside, and I am an animal lover, this guy should not be anywhere near our government making policy, let alone the Majority party leader. He is a criminal period.

Fortunately if his speech at the Republican convention is any indication he badly needs a charisma transplant as well, so his run for office will have to overcome that hurdle. I think he is not well liked even in his own home state of Tennessee. I have Republican relatives there (believe me I've tried to convert them already to no avail). They are animal lovers though, so if I tell them about Frist's little animal experiments these particular people will spread the word. I think I need to tell them right away and get a jump on the anti-Frist publicity for 2008.

21. Perhaps another Bush-designed disaster...another Bush-designed
military intervention, and Bush profit-margin "relief" plan.

Unlike 9/11, this time they didn't even have to start a war to justify sending our military. This time, no bogus aerial photos of WMD to justify the soldiers we sent (SUPPOSEDLY ONLY to help with the 'humanitarian' aid). Does anyone want to bet that even once the place is cleaned up, that our soldiers find a reason to stay on...and build 'bases?' The Indian government didn't want our "humanitarian" aid for a reason. Once again a brown-skinned, non-Christian people who as a result of a "disaster," need Bush "intervention."

22. Well, I'd say it's symbolic. Indeed.
And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
And He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

-- Genesis 4: 9-10 (KJV)

As the Busoilini Regime, in concert with "Cain Christians," murders tens of thousands of Abel Muslims, could it be more symbolic of the moral and ethical bankruptcy of a cabal that proclaims itself "Christian"?

So, Jeb, are you your brother's (zoo)keeper?

I don't think someone should be allowed to run for president of this country if one of their close relatives (mom, dad, sibilings, 1st cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, children) was president once. There are millions of people in this country. I think we can manage to find presidents who are not related to each other.

No need for them.
Chimp is staying in permanently.
Seriously, I and a lot of others truly believe that he has no intention of ever stepping down as dictator.
Watch it unfold. A new terra "crisis", an unprovoked U.S. led nuclear attack on some country (Iran?), protests here met with iron curtain style remedy->permanently "detaining" all involved. Patriot act II.
When all is said and done there will likely be no one left to oppose the permanent Chimp.
Solution?

Neil Bush tells of hotel trysts in Asia

UNUSUAL SEX: Documents for a defamation suit against his ex-wife recounted the younger Bush brother's carnal adventures while in Thailand and Hong Kong

THE GUARDIAN , NEW YORK
Friday, Nov 28, 2003,Page 6

{excerpt}
In a court deposition, taken in March and released this week, Neil claims that attractive women came to his hotel door looking for sex while he was on business trips in Hong Kong and Thailand. And as a big-hearted Texan, Neil, the third of five Bush children, merely did as he was asked.

"You have to admit it's pretty remarkable for a man to go to a hotel room door and open it and have sex with her," said his ex-wife's lawyer, Marshall Davis Brown.

"It was very unusual," Bush replied. He insists he didn't know them, did not see them afterwards and didn't pay them.

"Were they prostitutes?" he was asked.

"I don't know," he said.
