SIXTEEN-HOUR protest actions will greet the eight- hour visit of US President George W. Bush on Oct. 18, two militant groups announced Friday.

"Bush, who initiated a unilateral war of aggression against Iraq and also the current chief executive officer of imperialist globalization, doesn't deserve a dignified welcome in the Philippines," the Partido ng Manggagawa and Sanlakas said in a statement.


The planned protest actions, which will take different forms, will start eight

hours before the US president's scheduled arrival.
