Statement from Howard Dean
MANCHESTER, N.H., Sept. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Democratic presidential candidate Gov. Howard Dean, M.D., issued the following statement this afternoon:

"I consider Dick Gephardt -- a man I campaigned for 16 years ago -- a friend of mine. But I am deeply saddened that he has chosen to resort to the politics of the past by engaging in name-calling, guilt by association and scare tactics.

2. Well

Now Dean knows how everyone who DOES NOT support him is treated by THOSE WHO do support him.

4. Gep doesn't get it
People are tired of the same old, same old politics. It shows he has no understanding of what the people need and want now in today's America.

Dean's got it right. It's about us, We the People, every day Americans. We need now, more than ever to be a huge part of the process.

I am a bit surprised at Gep, but then his numbers have slipped well below Dean's in Iowa.

GO DEAN! w/o Clark

9. this isn't the first time that Gephardt has disappointed me
and will probably not be the last time either -

he rates down there with Lieberman in my book -

an icky thing that I would vote for only if I had no other choice -- fortunately, there are other choices and Gep is not even on my short list.

GO DEAN!!!

13. Now I like Dr. Dean even more....
pundits are attacking Dr. Dean, now Gephardt.

Hey you Dean supporters: I had an inccident this morning when logging in to the Dean campaign website. The real Arnold Schatz-what-ever political website popped up. I could read different headline articles on Ahhnol, and Austria's political groups for Ahhnol. When I tried to click on some of the Ahhnol stuff, because I knew I had logged in to the Dean campaign, the Ahhnol website disappeared and the Dean website came up. There was even a headline: Meet Ups for Arnold that looked just like Dr. Dean's. Has anyone experienced this? Believe me, I wouldn't give Arnold a second of my time.

7. With a "friend" like Gephardt, DEAN doesn't need an enemy
I really admire Howard Dean's spunk. He doesn't let anything slide past him, and name caling is such a low down thing to do to another.

10. "The politics of the past"?
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 04:04 PM by Democat
That sounds like a Bush phrase.

I don't think these two should be attacking each other, but the politics of the future, more than the past, is all about personal attacks.

It's only going to get worse as we go forward.
