Car bomb explodes near Allawi party headquarters

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/01/03/iraq.main/index.html

A suicide car bomb attack near the political party headquarters of interim Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi killed three Iraqi police officers Monday, a U.S. military spokesman said.

An orange and white vehicle loaded with explosives tried to ram through a police checkpoint, the spokesman said. In addition to killing the police and bomber, the blast also wounded 17 other people.

The explosion did not damage Allawi's Iraqi National Accord headquarters -- which was about 400 yards from the checkpoint, an employee of the party said. Allawi was not near the scene of the blast, the employee said.

1. Shame, shame. The media is supposed to only report the "good" stuff,
and ignore the "bad" stuff. Reporting the "bad" stuff appeases the terraists and demeans the military, doncha' know. Reality has no place the world of neoCONimperialists.

/sarcasm

,...bullshyt'd about WMDs and imminent danger and nuclear destruction in order to wage an unlawful/immoral war on a people who did nothing to harm us?

But for neoCONimperialist foreign policy, and the invasion of Iraq,...these insurgent acts would not be taking place.

*sigh*
