BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) - At least six police were killed and 13 wounded in a suicide car bomb attack against an Iraqi security checkpoint in Baquba, northeast of Baghdad, according to police and hospital sources.

"Six policemen were killed and 13 wounded in a suicide car bomb attack against a police checkpoint in the Yarmuk neighbourhood," said doctor Humam Mohammed of Baquba's main hospital.

A police officer, Mahmud Abbas, confirmed the attack, adding that it took place at 4:15 pm (1315 GMT) during a guard change at the checkpoint which was only put in place two days ago.

It is the third suicide car bombing in Iraq (news - web sites) on Wednesday against Iraqi and US forces.

4. The neoCONimperialists should sign a contract,...
,...promising NO PERMANENT US MILITARY PRESENCE IN IRAQ beginning June 1 2005 if the insurgency calms down enough for people to vote in these 1st round of elections. The penalty for failure to fulfill said contract will be automatic submission to the ICC for charges to be fully prosecuted *GRIN*.

I know,...I know. THAT would NEVER happen!!!
