Summary: New Stem Cell Agency Under Fire
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Published: January 6, 2005

Filed at 6:43 a.m. ET

HUSH-HUSH: California's new stem cell agency isn't telling the public much about how it's being organized or where it will ultimately spend $3 billion in taxpayer money.

CRITICS' CORNER: First Amendment advocates are grousing about the secrecy.

LET THE SUN SHINE IN: The activists want the agency's board to conduct most of its business in public and adopt conflict-of-interest rules.

....that's the whole thing... no more at AP...
