'KKK man' held for 1964 murders (Mississipi Burning case)
"A 79-year-old Mississippi man has been arrested for the notorious murders of three civil rights workers in 1964. Edgar Ray Killen, a segregationist preacher linked to the Ku Klux Klan, faced trial in 1967 but was freed after the jury failed to reach a verdict.

The three men were killed as they campaigned to register black voters. The murders sparked an outpouring of national support for the civil rights movement, and were dramatised in the 1988 film Mississippi Burning...

Eighteen people were charged in 1967 on federal conspiracy charges, but none of them was charged with murder.

Seven people were convicted and served up to six years in prison. Mr Killen was freed after his trial ended in a hung jury. "

3. Since the Atty General who is prosecuting is a Democrat,
and Mississippi wasn't even close to being contested this year, I doubt the timeing of Mr Killen's arrest was in any way connected to the presidential election.

Its time and past time to put this evil old bastard in prison for the rest of his miserable existence.
