Agency Aims to End Terror Alert Confusion

WASHINGTON -- The Homeland Security Department wants to make its color-coded terror alert system more user-friendly.

The agency has created a task force to review ways that the system could provide more specific guidance to state and local government officials about how to respond when the alert level is raised, department spokesman Brian Roehrkasse said Saturday.

He said meetings have been set up in October to get reaction from states and localities about how the system is working for them.

1. let's throw more resources at a system that doesn't work
we could use the money for this task force to make the country a bit safer but NO, we have to waste it on consultants and reports that no one is going to read

stupid f**ks

Would that mean something like: B-) :D :-) :(

Now, I'll be more interested when they try to make the "War On (Some) Drugs" user-friendly!

5. ROFL, Nut
You put as much thought into your system as Ridge has into his.

I'd prefer the tried and true "bend over and kiss your...etc, etc" system. It saw me through a couple of decades. Or *maybe* some exhortation to watch out for those around you and to try to take care of those in need.
