U.S., Owner Dispute House Bombing Deaths

Sun Jan 9,12:36 AM ET
Middle East - AP

By NICK WADHAMS, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The United States military said it dropped a 500-pound bomb on the wrong house outside the northern city of Mosul on Saturday, killing five people. The man who owned the house said the bomb killed 14 people, and an Associated Press photographer said seven of them were children.

<--snip--
An Associated Press photographer said from the scene that 14 members of the same family — seven children, four women and three men — were killed, and six people were wounded, including another child in the house and five people from neighboring houses. By evening, all 14 victims had been buried in a nearby cemetery, Yousef said.

The U.S. military statement said coalition forces went to the area to provide assistance and said five people were killed. It said there was no other damage.

"Multi-National Force Iraq deeply regrets the loss of possibly innocent lives," the statement said, adding that an investigation was underway.

2. I agree with you.
In 2000, we were so close to world peace. With the money these criminals have squandered and stolen, every person in need in the world could have been helped.

They are world class criminals. Why can't so many see that? The enemy, the terrorists? Why they reside in the White House plotting world domination, supported by the mandate of 49% of the US voters.

The US did the Same Damn thing before the Fallujah offensive! They dropped 500 - 2000 lb. bombs nightly on Fallujah, saying they only killed 3 or 5 Insurgents, when the reality at the time was 20 or more INNOCENTS!

:grr:

An Iraqi youth leaves the area where 14 of his relatives were buried after they were killed in a blast near the northern city of Mosul, January 8, 2005. Nearby residents said a civilian house was flattened during an overnight U.S. air strike over the village, killing 14 people including women and children. The U.S. military in Iraq (news - web sites) had no immediate confirmation on the incident. REUTERS/Namir Noor-Eldeen

It is no wonder the US is kicking as many reporters out of Iraq as they can. War Criminals!!!

5. Iraqi Official agrees ....
An official from a joint US-Iraqi security centre for the Salahuddin province put the toll at 13, including four women and three children. He said the dead were all from the same family.

Reuters pictures showed a house in the village of Aaytha, southeast of the northern city of Mosul, reduced to rubble.

They also showed rows of freshly dug graves where locals said the dead had been buried.

8. New U.S. Policy, I guess...
possibly innocent lives?

Sounds like this is the new policy: Kill them first, then find out if they did anything wrong.

Or, as the old saying goes: Kill them all; let God sort them out."

How nice.

10. Without even reading a single thing - I believe the homeowner over the US
invaders.

I'll never again believe a fucking thing the "US Government" or it's stooges say - at least as long as the repukes control everything.

After all - why should we - everything they've said in the past has turned out to be a lie.

EVERYTHING.
