Davis, Bustamante take stage together in show of unity
LOS ANGELES -- Arnold Schwarzenegger called on Republicans to unite behind him for governor yesterday as Democrats staged their own dramatic show of party unity.

Governor Gray Davis and Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante appeared together for the first time since Bustamante broke his pledge and entered the race to succeed Davis if he is recalled.

The surprise joint appearance came as the state Democratic Party voted, as expected, to endorse Bustamante's "No on recall, yes on Bustamante" strategy for the Oct. 7 recall election. The issues of whether Davis should be recalled, and who should replace him if he is, are separate ballot questions.

1. Go McClintock Go!!!!!
I am sick and tired of hearing about Arnie S.! Whenever a liberal artist gets involved in politics we never hear the end of how actors should stay out of politics! Now we have Oprah acting as a new Rove assistant Propaganda Minister! Arnold will be on her SHOW'S SEASON PREMIERE!!!!!! How damn convenient is that!!!!!! :puke:

McClintock will take enough votes away from Arnie the Groper to ensure that if the recall succeeds then Bustamante will become the next governor! We must defeat the recall and this sincere show of unity on the democrats side is wonderful!!!!!

This does not justify her giving Arnie a free campaign commercial!!!!! Maybe I will have to stop watching Oprah! She is being unprofessional about this!

8. Oprah is being unprofessional, unethical, and a little unpatriotic
She's doing a disservice to her audience by denying them the opportunity to make the most informed choice possible about all the top candidates. And in a way, she's actually undermining Arnie's campaign--making him look like a frivilous movie star who's riding on glamour alone, and can't tell the difference between political reality and his lastest acting assignment.

4. Actually,
these are two different events. Unfortunately, Clinton wasn't at yesterday's Caucus. I wish he would have been as I would have LOVED to see the Big Dog but I think he was in Iowa yesterday.

Today's apparance is at a church. Unfortunately, CNN cut away before he really got to the meat of the speech. (How convenient.) Hopefully C-SPAN will pick it up.

5. Hee hee, Big Dog made it on CNN-HERE IN KOREA
I'm here on a project in Seoul. Was shown on a short clip on CNN. I wish it was more but still he and Davis made the international news. Big Dog is big news and bad news for the repukes.
