Christine Gregoire ... to take oath of office
Christine Gregoire ... to take oath of office tomorrow (Wednesday).

finally some good news here in Washington State.

State republicans tried for 2 hours to delay the oath of office ceremony
And the end however, they did not have the votes in the state senate to stop it.

AND they're sore losers !

3. Heard it on NWCN
I heard this on NWCN on television. Unless something came up I don't know about. You have to register to get access to their web site and I don't feel like giving out my name and email address to any news agency.

Anyway, they did report that she would be taking the oath of office tomorrow.

2. Congrats to all our neighbors to the north!
A better place today than ever! I was just up your way, viewed the capital building as I drove through heading for Port Angeles. As beautiful as ever, the state where I spent many of my childhood years. Thanks for the good news from today. Now on to better days ahead!

And--welcome to DU!

here's a link you can add

A Republican motion to delay the certification of Democrat Christine Gregoire as Governor failed Tuesday, clearing the way for Gregoire to be sworn in on Wednesday.

The motion failed with 65 in favor and 80 opposed.

Gregoire will be officially sworn in and celebrate with her supporters at the inaugural ball at the Capital in Olympia on Wednesday.

8. That sounds about right
Tuesday morning about a thousand Rossi supporters rallied outside the Capitol, chanting "re-vote!" About 500 Democrats gathered in a counter-demonstration, calling Rossi a "sore-loser."
