ASHINGTON Jan. 12 - The federal government issued new dietary guidelines for Americans on Wednesday, and for the first time since the recommendations were introduced in 1980, they emphasize weight loss as well as healthy eating and cardiovascular health.

1. Who has got the time when people are jugging work and offspring?
They can tell us whatever they want. Won't make a flippin' flyin' fig of a difference when corporate america continues to whip our productivity level to our own destruction.

3. Absolutely!
I'm ordering a passel of heirloom seeds for my veggie patch next spring... all the supermarkets produce is loaded with pesticides and much of it genetically engineered!

Oh, and hoping to start a little hennery for free-range eggs from 'natural' (no "antibiotics" and fed only wild seeds & pesticide free & heirloom cracked corn)

With all this crap going on with our food, I'm expecting to see the cancer rate go way up in the next decade :(

Americans will still be the most gluttonous people on Earth (a statistical FACT). It seems that the more we try to fight obesity, the worse it gets.
