Schwarzenegger predicts 30 percent increase in state's costs despite reforms
STEVE LAWRENCE, Associated Press Writer

Friday, January 14, 2005

(01-14) 03:32 PST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) --

California's workers' compensation costs are going down -- but you wouldn't know it by looking at Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's budget proposals.

The governor wants to give more money to the program, despite a money-saving overhaul that he pushed through the Legislature last year. The program was once the most expensive in the nation.

While the budget increases mean state officials may find some extra money when they later revisit the numbers, it also underscores the complex nature of workers' compensation, especially since some aspects of last year's legislation are still being implemented.

Schwarzenegger made cutting workers' comp costs one of his biggest targets after he took office in November 2003, threatening to take a plan to voters if lawmakers didn't pass something he could support.

MSM oriented, TV culture led sheep he is just dandy.

For thinking, reflective, and rational people with critical minds, he is a GD hypocritical bullshitter.

6. oh lord no they haven't
remember we have an almost cornered market on 'the vapid millions,' just as we nearly have a democratic majority of 'the enlightened masses.' just as we produce conscious, reflective, critical thinking well-rounded people we also produce people so shallow that wading into their deepest thoughts would barely wet the entire sole of your shoe.

and then we have 'mindless republicans' who can only see an (R) after someone's name and surreptitiously release their homoerotic lustful urges in looking at a muscular governor.

 what can you do?

5. Couldn't be all that interest we have to pay on the billions of debt he
put on the credit card? Such a wise leader. He will gut everything. That is his job. It is why BushCo installed him.
