U.S. soldier killed in northern Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan 14 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier was killed and three wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol in northern Iraq, the U.S. military said on Friday.

It said in a statement the soldiers, from Task Force Olympia which is based in the city of Mosul, were attacked on Thursday.
