Government: FBI Translator's Complaints Were Supported By Evidence, Witnes

<SNIP>
WASHINGTON -- Evidence and other witnesses supported complaints by a fired FBI contract linguist who alleged shoddy work and possible espionage within the bureau's translator program after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, according to a report Friday from the Justice Department's senior oversight official.

The department's inspector general, Glenn Fine, said the allegations by former translator Sibel Edmonds ``raised substantial questions and were supported by various pieces of evidence.'' Fine said the FBI still has not adequately investigated the claims.

1. They spend a lot of time finding out things that were said here many
months ago.

But by the time the press reports it no one cares anymore.

"If they were to do real investigations we would see several significant high level criminal prosecutions in this country. And that is something that they are not going to let out. And, believe me; they will do everything to cover this up."

-Sibel Edmonds, former FBI translator

6. Great. The people in charge are crooks. We knew it, of course, but
now there's verification. It's like that old Southern tradition of not talking when daddy is banging the kids; but then one day the neighbor sees him doing it and you have no choice but to come out and call your daughter/sister a whore to protect the old man.

5. Notice that they do not mention what the problems are
why the FBI has not investigated or even if the FBI will investigate.

"Lets dump this notice in the Friday dump and hope it goes away," says the so called liberal media. "If it ever comes up again we can say that has already been reported."

15. Great links. The P-Tech story plus Operation Vigilant Warrior are scary.
Can you imagine being in law enforcement and finding out that as you go up the crime ladder it keeps going to the CIA, White House, and Saudis?

Being a whistleblower is very risky, like being wolf bait.
I mean, who wants to travel by bus instead of small planes all their life?

Headline:'Jack Questions Climbing Beanstalk'

"What am I supposed to do when I find a giant up there?" the young man replied to the press who quietly told each other 'better him than me.'

10. There are two levels of Edmonds information! Watch for both!
The allegations that the FBI hired a foreign operative as a translator, that the FBI had a huge backlog of untranslated material, and that FBI officials told translaters to slow down translation work is interesting and important.

But these allegations are not why she is gagged. It is probably not the most interesting or important part of the information she has. DON'T LET THE NEWS RELEASES FOOL US...THERE IS MUCH MORE TO HER TESTIMONY that is not being discussed!

As she has explained previously, she came across information in her translations that had to do with the money trail for 9/11. She saw information connecting various parties and governments to money laundering for 9/11. She saw information from before 9/11 hinting at use of airliners in an attack. THIS IS WHY SHE IS GAGGED!

This is important stuff that I hope gets to see the light of day. Apparently, some on the 9/11 Commission and a few others know what she knows. We need someone as courageous as Sibel to stand up and blow the whistle on this.

Based on the tibits we heard last year and the actions of the Justice Department to stifle any discussion....my feeling is that this is MAJOR, MAJOR STUFF.

12. Yes, But What Is Nice...
about this, is that the DOJ has elevated her from crackpot to credible status. Now maybe someone other than DU and a couple others will take notice.

11. I'd be willing to bet anything that the organizations involved...
have deep ties to Bushco and quite possibly the same companies that appear to be responsible for the vote rigging operation. Its all the same group of shmucks.

the shrub administration. She never gave up. Problems like this only serve to highlight the multitudinous atrocities of having no checks and balances.

16. Another volley in the battle between CIA and FBI for fault on 9/11+WMD.
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 08:41 PM by JohnOneillsMemory
A female FBI agent just got thrown off the WMD investigation panel for grabbing a CIA document blaming the FBI and gave it to a senior FBI counter-terrorist official. A protest to the CIA followed shortly. http://www.uspoliticstoday.com/news.php3?wid=47169700

The FBI soon complained to the CIA and now this black-eye for the FBI follows almost immediately.

The FBI recently claimed to witness CIA abuse of prisoners at Gitmo, too.

Again, the significance of the story is its context, not content, in propaganda-led TV Nation.

Makes me feel safe. NOT.
