North Korea: U.S. a 'Nuclear Criminal' (AP)
SEOUL, South Korea - A day after indicating a willingness to rejoin nuclear disarmament talks, North Korea returned to its usual anti-American rhetoric Saturday, accusing the United States of being a "nuclear criminal" with double standards.

North Korea's state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun accused Washington of "conniving at, patronizing and cooperating with the pro-American forces" in Israel, Japan and South Korea to develop nuclear arms while pressuring North Korea to abandon its program.

"The U.S. policy of double standards assumes extremely partial and aggressive nature," the newspaper said.

The report also denied that the North is running a clandestine uranium enrichment program, as the United States claims, in addition to its plutonium-based weapons program.

1. Now that's a good case of
talking out of both sides of your mouth. The N. Koreans are willing to resume talks, but just to be on the safe side, they make sure to get in a few snipes just in case.

Heaven forbid they'd be feeling optimistic.

The problem with North Korea is, I can never be sure how to read them. (I'm sure I'm not the only one - try Washington). It's hard to tell whether one should be alarmed by such talk, or just pooh-pooh it as valueless rhetoric.

I'm choosing the former - to be concerned about these guys.

2. I don't know about you, but I'd look like hell in one of those

3. it IS true though - the USA has WMD and uses them
2 nukes
napalm
cluster bombs
fuel air munitions
agent orange
depleted uranium munitions

the usa has arguably the largest nuclear/biological/chemical weapons stockpile AND program in the whole worldand with the exception of biological weapons has used them in the past with impunity.
Iraq is the most recent country, the depleted uranium alone is already causing horrific birth defects
