US voters 'endorsed Iraq policy' (BBC Report)
The world according to Bush! Accountable to no one, even to the most basic sense of honesty, common decency or justice.

US voters 'endorsed Iraq policy'

George W Bush believes the US public are behind him on Iraq

President George W Bush has said his re-election has vindicated his administration's policy on Iraq.

Mr Bush said there was no need to hold any of his officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgements in pre-war planning or managing the aftermath.

In an interview in Sunday's Washington Post he said that his re-election was an "accountability moment".

The publication of the interview comes as Mr Bush prepares for the start of his second term on Thursday.

The newspaper asked Mr Bush why no-one had been held responsible for wrong information about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq or mistakes made after the US-led war.

"Well, we had an accountability moment, and that's called the 2004 election," he replied.

1. Hell No this does NOT vindicate him...
It points out only, that a significant number of Americans are complete idiots, and that what happened in Nazi Germany is capable of happening anywhere!

2. Now why couldn't they have made that headline accurate
by leaving in the two most important words in it? "Bush said" Right at the beginning. Leaving those two words out changed the entire meaning of the statement.

The American people absolutely did NOT endorse the Iraq policy. Bush said they did. Polls continue to show a majority of Americans think Bush's war was a mistake. Polls continue to show a majority of Americans think Bush's war is going badly. Why are they helping him spin? No editorializing was needed to set the record straight. Just tell the truth for a change.

3. If he's so sure, let's have a revote and see who wins.
What a bastard for controlling the media to win an election, and now reaching illogical conclusions about what the voters knew and when they knew it before they voted.

4. Diebold the vindicator!
And, yeah, the world is entitled now to hate us all. Other countries had fraudulent elections this year (Romania, Ukraine). Only ours is left to stand.
Sure, the war was never up to vote as both candidates were beating their chests, but...

5. What an arrogant piece of shit
the only reason millions voted for him is that there are so many gullible easily frightened people in this country.... that and the bigots. It still doesn't mean that there aren't as many millions more who are appalled.

6. I did NOT vote for this asshole! I am not "accountable"!
This is just like after 911 when "THEY" said "everyone" now supported this criminal.

I NEVER DID - NEVER WILL.

DIDN'T SUPPORT HIM THEN, DON'T SUPPORT HIM NOW.
