Kerry Criticizes Election Outcome

BOSTON - Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites), in some of his most pointed public comments yet about the presidential election, invoked Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy on Monday as he criticized President Bush (news - web sites) and decried reports of voter disenfranchisement.

"Voting machines were distributed in uneven ways. In Democratic districts, it took people four, five, eleven hours to vote, while Republicans (went) through in 10 minutes — same voting machines, same process, our America," he said.

In his comments, Kerry also compared the democracy-building efforts in Iraq (news - web sites) with voting in the U.S., saying that Americans had their names purged from voting lists and were kept from casting ballots.

15. And that is what is wrong. Some Dems push nastily at those who

they perceive to have failed them. Republicans glorify their people and keep them around because it STRENGTHENS their party.

Only an ignoramus would want Kerry to disappear or shut up. Only an ignoramus who had no appreciation or even knowledge of the fact that Kerry has investigated and exposed more government corruption than any lawmaker in modern history and has helped put an end to three wars.

No doubt the Republicans want him to shut up and disappear, but, why are there so many self-righteous Democrats joining them?

9. Too little too late
If he had been half the man Gore was, he would have dragged the outcome out for about a month, just to give us hope. Any hope at all would have been better than laying down and accepting defeat, then waiting until it is too late to gripe about it. Sorry Kerry, next Democratic hopeful for 2008 will you please step forward and lead this party back to Penn. Ave. before we lose ALL our rights and hope?

13. My question, why wasn't the campaign
doing something about this before the election? Kerry is on record calling the Bushies "crooks" but it's as though he wasn't prepared for all the scullduggery. Duh, you're dealing with Karl Rove.

14. Classic Kerry
Now that it has become "acceptable" to talk about the problem, John kinda sorta sticks a portion of his neck a quarter-of-the-way out of the window and talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Finish out your Senate term, forget about 2008, and have a nice retirement, sir.
