Ex-Presidents to Attend Bush Inauguration
WASHINGTON (AP) - Three of President Bush's predecessors will join him on the platform Thursday as he is sworn into a second term.

Former President Carter, his wife, Rosalynn; former President Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y; and Bush's parents, former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush will attend, officials of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies said Monday.

Former President Ford, who is 91 and no longer travels extensively, does not plan to attend.

11. makes me want to puke . . .
Carter and Clinton legitimizing the Bush coup is sickening . . . I suppose they're trying to support the American "democratic" system by being there, but there are larger values that take precedence . . . like ensuring that there IS an American democratic system . . . which at this point in time, there most certainly is not . . .

I'm tired of politics . . . Republicans, Democrats, what's the difference . . . they're both part of the oligarchy that's bought and paid for by the corporations . . . just sickening . . .

12. Yawn, it's all presidential protocol.
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 01:47 AM by fortyfeetunder
Don't see the reason to rant about this one. This is a protocol that has always been done.

Here's a trivia question: which Presidential inauguration in the last 100 years did the most ex-Presidents show up?
